Production company Altered.LA has signed director Alexan Sarikamichian for his first commercial representation across the U.S. general and U.S. Hispanic markets.

Sarikamichian started his career in film production at the Universidad Del Cine, where he met Argentine film director Eduardo “Teddy” Williams. From there, Sarikamichian went on to develop the production of three short films, with Pude ver un Puma being nominated for the Cinefondation Cannes Festival. His work on the short La Donna, directed by Nicolas Dolensky and starring actress Erica Rivas, also won numerous nominations across the global festival circuit. In addition, Sarikamichian currently has two projects in postproduction: a love story shot in Argentina on 16mm film, and a short centered around the theme of ghosting.

The influence of cinema is notable in Sarikamichian’s broader creative pursuits, recently turning out music videos for many national and international musicians. He has collaborated with a host of acclaimed Latin artists, including prolific Argentine actor Ricardo Darín, singer and actress Lali Espósito and pop artist Sebastián Yatra.

With a pursuit of beauty and aesthetics at the core of his projects, Sarikamichian also has a passion for men’s fashion and has created campaign videos for brands such as Maria Cher, Blackmamba and Santiago Artemis.

Marcos Cline, executive producer and founder at Altered.LA, said, “Alexan stood out as the perfect addition to our roster for several reasons. His exceptional storytelling ability, cinematic vision, and passion for pushing creative boundaries align perfectly with Altered.LA’s mission. His impressive track record of working with renowned brands and artists further reaffirms his potential to elevate our collective portfolio and expand our reach into new and exciting territories.”

Sarikamichian added, “I am at a point in my life where I am interested in projecting into the future and building connections. Traveling is one of the things I love to do the most--discovering new places, meeting people, and experiencing different cultures. While I reside in Argentina, filming in different countries excites me. I am so excited to collaborate with Altered.LA to find projects that align with my aesthetic and represent me, where creativity and technology are in harmony.”
