ProdCo has signed director Alice Kunisué for representation in the U.S. and U.K. spanning commercials, branded content and music videos. This marks the first U.S. representation for Kunisué who was previously handled in the U.K. by Friend. She continues to be repped in France by Mirror Mirror and in Amsterdam by Halal.

Kunisué has already wrapped a ProdCo-produced music video for Peggy Gou’s track “Lobster Telephone.” Kunisué, known for her artistic vision and multifaceted talents, brings a playfulness and spontaneity to complement the energy of the track.

The video starts with six guys magically popping out of the water. As they awkwardly dance to the beat, they spot Gou from afar and become instantly mesmerized. They engage in courtship ritual-like dances to try to impress Gou, the Lobster Goddess. The textured cinematography, costumes and unique environment transport us into a parallel realm while carrying the playful vibe of the track.

“I think anyone who meets Peggy feels instantly charmed and entertained by her wit and humor,” said Kunisué. “It just came very naturally to bring that playful aura into a story.”

Kunisué is a director, photographer, illustrator, painter, animator, and art director. Born and raised in Tokyo, Kunisué later moved to Montreal for school before settling in Paris, where she has worked with brands such as Google, Hermès, Christian Louboutin, and Nike. Kunisué’s visual style has evolved from her artistic experiments with cut-and-paste techniques, loops, and illustrations, creating a multilayered and multidimensional feast for the eyes. Her work is characterized by whimsical, natural humor, and a vibrant visual language.
