SHOOT is pleased to announce the 2016 schedule for its in-depth Emmy coverage that will kick off on May 20 with Part 1 of its annual 15-Part Road to Emmy Series. The series will shine the spotlight on the producers, directors, documentarians, cinematographers, editors, production designers, visual effects supervisors, composers and other executives and artisans involved in the shows and programms generating Emmy buzz.
SHOOT 's strong Emmy® tradition dates back to 1997 having been the leading chronicler of the Primetime commercial Creative Arts Emmy nominees and winners since the inception of that award. SHOOT expanded to cover all categories of nominees and winners of the Creative Arts and Primetime Emmy Awards, and five years ago launched its annual in-depth 15-part “Road to Emmy Series” that covers the shows themselves and the executives and artisans behind them, spanning categories such as Directing, Cinematography, Editing, Visual Effects, Animation, Music, Sound, Production Design & more across all major categories including Comedy Series, Drama Series, Miniseries or Movie, Documentary, Variety Music or Comedy Series and Reality Competition Program. We interview and profile assorted artists and production execs, gaining insights into the shows and challenges faced. There are also assessments of Emmy prospects for nominees, as well as a look at trends in this year’s competition. And, of course we'll continue to cover the nominations and top off the series will be special coverage of the Creative Arts winners (this year on Sept. 10&11) and the Primetime winners (this year on Sept. 18).
