SHOOT is pleased to announce that its Annual “Road to Emmy,” 12-part, series will kick off on May 15, 2015 focusing on the backstories and the people behind the production of this year's Emmy® contenders.
SHOOT 's strong Emmy® tradition dates back to 1997 having been the leading chronicler of the Primetime commercial Creative Arts Emmy nominees and winners since the inception of that award. SHOOT then expanded to cover all categories of nominees and winners of the Creative Arts and Primetime Emmy Awards. Four years ago, SHOOT again increased its Emmy coverage with the launch of its annual in-depth 12-part “Road to Emmy Series” that covers the shows themselves and the executives and artisans behind them, spanning categories such as Directing, Cinematography, Editing, Visual Effects, Animation, Music, Sound, Production Design & more across all major categories including Comedy Series, Drama Series, Miniseries or Movie, Documentary, Variety Music or Comedy Series and Reality Competition Program. We interview and profile assorted artists and production execs, gaining insights into the shows and challenges faced. There are also assessments of Emmy prospects for nominees, as well as a look at trends in this year’s competition. And, of course we'll continue to cover the nominations and top off the series will be special coverage of the Creative Arts winners (this year on Sept. 12th) and the Primetime winners (this year on Sept. 20th).
