In this video promoting Delta Air Lines service in Seattle, a real-life mom living in Detroit prods her daughter, a Seattle resident, to come visit her. The means toward that end was devised by Wieden+Kennedy New York--a group of mom look-alikes who pop in as customers of the coffee shop where the daughter works as a barista.

One of the mom look-alikes comes up to the counter--with a line of other look-alikes behind her--and hands the daughter Delta tickets to Detroit along with a phone on which the real-life mom affirms, “It’s time to visit your mom.”

Dan Levin of production company Mass Appeal directed this component of a W+K NY campaign giving long-distance moms with adult children living in Seattle an advertising platform to persuade their children to visit more often by taking advantage of the airline’s growing global Seattle network. The campaign also features personal, heartfelt messages from real moms of Seattleites that remind their children to come visit: “Hey babe, visit soon! Love, Mom” and “Stu, I’ll always be here for you. Waiting. In Denver. For you to visit. Love, Mom.” These quirky, handwritten reminders to visit are coupled with heartwarming home photos showing each mom with their child. The messages will appear across the city, including on billboards, storefront posters, and at local bars and hot spots.

In a city where more than 60 percent of residents are transplants, the campaign showcases Delta’s ability to connect Seattleites with the people and places they care about most through its extensive network from Seattle.
