Kiran, who earned inclusion into SHOOT’s New Directors Showcase earlier this year, helmed this short out of agency Innocean USA for client Atomic Candy, a charming old-fashioned, nostalgia-filled candy store in the Dallas Metropolitan area.

Titled “Alma Mater,” this long-form ad--produced in-house by Innocean--features an elderly man who visits his old high school which is dilapidated and disheveled. Everything is past its prime, except for some old chewing gum which he stuck under his desk back when he was a lad. To his surprise, the wad of gum hasn’t lost its flavor. Appearing on screen is a tagline which reads, “Your gum is waiting for you”--at Atomic Candy which has "everything your mouth desires."

Timed to tie into National Chewing Gum Day on Sept. 30, the piece will run in movie theaters in Denton, Texas.
