AICE Opens "Trophy Case" To Show ANA The Pitfalls Of Agency In-House Production & Post
Attendees at last week’s ANA (Association of National Advertisers) Masters of Marketing Conference in Orlando, Fla., found an oversized postcard in their event registrant bags. The postcard from postproduction trade association the AICE had an ominous “Skip Ad” button on one side and a web address on the other. The web address led those interested to this video titled “Trophy Case” which illustrates what can happen when clients put great ideas in the hands of agency in-house production and post departments rather than entrusting them to outside independent vendors.
“Trophy Case” shows creative and marketing effectiveness awards disappearing one by one from a trophy display. A concluding super contains a message for ANA members which reads, “Agencies pushing to work in-house may not have your best interests in-mind.”
