A woman stands at the return counter of a department store. One man returns a toaster that "burns everything" and a humidifier that "is leaking". Other returned items are a "creaky" chair, an "unsafe" chainsaw, an "unstable" ladder, and a "won't whistle" tea kettle, a "won't stop" parakeet, among many other faulty products with disgruntled owners. At the end of the day the frustrated worker climbs into her Corolla "the one thing you can count on" and drives away from the store parking lot.
