Topping SHOOT's picks for the year's Best Work is a branded feature documentary, 5B, which not only debuted at the Cannes Film Festival but went on the next month to win the Entertainment Grand Prix at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. 5B is a wonderful film and a bold piece of marketing for Johnson & Johnson, showcasing the compassion of nursing for AIDS patients back when fear over the disease was running rampant in the early 1980s.
SHOOT's Top Five for 2019 also includes a pair of Super Bowl spots–Microsoft Xbox's "Changing the Game" in which gamers with disabilities gain access to a special controller which allows them to be quick on the draw; and a Bud Light ad turned promo for the final season of HBO's Game of Thrones.
Then the importance of journalism to a democracy and our society at large is showcased in "Fearlessness" for The New York Times. And rounding out the Top Five is IKEA's ThisAbles which shows how affordable add-ons to existing furniture makes it more accessible to the physically challenged.
So have a look below at the very top Top Spots of 2019.
