Seattle-based branded content studio Workhouse Creative has brought on Kesshann Cortez as executive producer. Prior to joining Workhouse Creative, Cortez acted as managing director and executive producer at Plus Productions under Crispin Porter + Bogusky.
“Workhouse Creative is and has been on forefront of working with both agencies and directly with brands since day one,” said Cortez. “Joining this company has been a no-brainer and I’m thrilled to bring my experience and hustle to what they have created.”
With over 20 years of industry experience, Cortez’s expertise lies in the spaces where traditional agencies and production companies collide. For the past decade, Cortez has helped agencies set up and develop their own internal production companies, most recently in 2015 with Plus Productions under Crispin Porter + Bogusky in LA. Prior to that, Cortez founded the production company Paperboy Films, which was acquired by Trailer Park (Engine Group) in 2014 and rebranded to Paperboy Content to serve as their in-house production arm.
“Kesshann approaches conversations with an unmatched positivity and empathy,” said Keith Rivers, founder and director of Workhouse Creative. “As a creative service company, he’s exactly the type of person we want to represent our growing roster of directors, brand, and agency partners.”
Most recently, Cortez produced the entire NBA2K16 campaign along with the “Players vs Haters” Kobe Bryant tribute and has worked on projects with brands such as Mini Cooper, Burger King, Domino’s Pizza, Infinity, and Hotels.com.
