WPP’s Wing, a leading full-service marketing communications agency focused on the Hispanic market, today announced the appointment of Jorge Ortega to Creative Director and Sy Kraft to Senior Digital Strategist. Both will be based out of New York and report to Wing’s Managing Director Andrew Speyer.
Ortega will oversee creative output for clients including RadioShack, Red Lobster and Goya. Kraft, in a newly created position, will drive digital strategy and execution across all clients.
“We are so glad to have Jorge and Sy join us at Wing,” Speyer said. “Smart, creative and driven is what we are always looking for at Wing, and Jorge and Sy fit the bill perfectly.”
Jorge Ortega, Creative Director
Ortega brings more than 15 years of experience to Wing. He joins as Creative Director from Crispin Porter + Bogusky, where worked on brands such as Burger King, Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, Microsoft Windows, Old Navy, and Vitamin Water.
Ortega said, “Collaborating with a team who creates interesting and unique concepts for clients is exciting. Wing’s infectious appetite to be one of the best and brightest creative agencies in the U.S. Hispanic and Latin American markets is inspiring.”
Prior to Wing, Ortega served as Senior Copywriter at Crispin Porter + Bogusky. Before that, he worked at JWT Mexico as an Associate Creative Director before being promoted to Creative Director. During this time, Ortega contributed to award-winning work for Ford Motor Company’s outdoor print campaign, “REARVIEW CAMERA.”
Ortega has earned industry recognition for his work from Cannes, London International Awards, Sol San Sebastian and New York Festivals, among others.
Sy Kraft, Senior Digital Strategist
Kraft, previously a partner at S.I.N.K. Consulting, joins Wing as Senior Digital Strategist. He is charged with driving consumer-centric digital strategy across Wing clients, including Procter & Gamble, Radio Shack, Red Lobster, and Goya. Prior to S.I.N.K., Kraft was Chief Digital Strategist at Real Resorts in the Rivera Maya and also held senior positions at Leo Burnett, G2 and LatinWorks.
“I jumped at the opportunity to join Wing because it allows me to be able to help build digital programs among an extremely influential demographic that uses this channel more than other group on the continent,” said Kraft. “The innovation, creative execution and big thinking of the teams are what sealed the deal for me.”
