Whitehouse Post boosts its editorial roster with the addition of Antonin Brones. An editor with a strong visual style pulsing with a sense of the now, Brones weaves beautiful stories for top brands including Adidas, Bentley, Prada, Celine, Biotherm and Puma. He also lends his visual prowess to music videos receiving several UKMVA nominations for projects with A$AP Ferg ft. Pharrell, Rosalia, Screw, and BadBadNotGood. In 2021 his video Beside April for BadBadNotGood was in the top 10 videos on vimeo.
Born and raised in Paris, Antonin cites the diversity of the city as a strong influence in his outlook both culturally and socially. “I'm very proud of being able to work on very diverse projects, and with diverse people. I like the fact of being able to one day work for a rapper that is engaged culturally and socially. It connects to my origins and social background. And the next day to be on a fashion film with totally different type of person, I like to be a connection between these two worlds. The fact that I’m mixed raced and raised in Paris, which is a very diverse city, brought me a lot and influences my work daily.”
Brones initially thought he would be a sports journalist, but it was a history film class that piqued his interest in the construction of movies and led him to the University of East London where he received a master’s degree in filmmaking. Working at BETC, Brones met director Valentin Petit and began working with production companies including Ocurens, Division, Machine Molle, and Nightshift, and hasn’t looked back. As Brones collaborates on bigger projects, he hopes to continue to bring a personal touch to his work and is excited to continue to grow at Whitehouse. “When I became interested in joining Whitehouse, I realized that some of my favorite ads while growing up were cut by Whitehouse editors like Russell Icke and Sam Gunn. I asked around for feedback about Whitehouse, and it was very positive. Whitehouse is not only a big name in the industry with a solid reputation and tremendous work, but also a place that puts people at the center of its work. That trust and honesty made me want to work together.”
“We are very happy to have Antonin on the roster,” says Whitehouse Partner and Editor Russell Icke. “He is tremendously talented and has cut some very interesting projects. We look forward to supporting him as he continues to grow as an artist and can’t wait to see what he does next.”
