One of the country’s leading digital media production agencies joined forces with the world’s leading basketball equipment maker to spread inspiration to residents of New Orleans during the recent NBA All-Star week celebration. A production crew from Visual Concepts of Windsor, CT worked with representatives from Spalding of Springfield, MA to produce a series of video programs showcasing a variety of philanthropic activities in and around the Crescent City .
Visual Concepts’ Director of Photography Ric Serrenho and his crew traveled to New Orleans twice during the month of February, as Spalding donated basketballs and backboard systems to needy inner-city organizations, and helped to refurbish a local basketball court. The videos, featuring the NBA’s 2007 number one draft pick Greg Oden, premiered during the NBA All-Star Jam Session, the four day fan festival preceding the annual All-Star game.
“The videos played an integral role in bringing an important focus for many organizations involved in the All-Star event,” said Serrenho. “Our work paid tribute to this great city that lost so much after Hurricane Katrina, while celebrating the movement towards its revitalization.”
Visual Concepts has served as Spalding’s digital marketing agency since 1989, producing video programs, designing and maintaining the company’s award-winning web site, and staging a variety of public events and sales meetings.
