Veteran Visual Effects Producer Chad Hudson, whose credits include The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones, has joined FuseFX. Based at the company’s Los Angeles facility, Hudson becomes part of a diverse production team that is creating effects for Fox’s Sleepy Hollow and pilots for CBS and Amazon, as well as other upcoming television projects.
“We’re excited to welcome Chad to our incredible team,” said FuseFX President David Altenau. “Chad is a very smart and talented producer who knows how to deliver projects on time and with outstanding results. He will be a great asset to our artists and our clients.”
Hudson arrives from Rhythm & Hues where he worked on a variety of television and commercial projects. He was a visual effects producer on the Game of Thrones episode The Dance of Dragons, which won a 2016 Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Visual Effects. He also contributed to ten episodes of The Walking Dead as well as the theme park attraction The Marvel Experience.
Hudson’s background includes visual effects roles with Lionsgate and Universal Pictures, where his credits included Jurassic World and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Parts 1 & 2, and a previous 3-year stint at Rhythm & Hues. During that earlier tenure, he served as a VFX coordinator on the Academy Award-winning Life of Pi, Grown Ups 2 and Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters.
Commenting on his move to FuseFX, Hudson said that he was drawn by the company’s reputation for excellence and the chance to be involved in challenging television projects. “I love working with creative people who make the impossible, possible,” he said. “That excites me. That gets me going every day.”
