Lighting & Art Direction perfectly align for BTS content
Black Spot released its new, behind-the-scenes shorts for Season 3 of the critically acclaimed and Golden Globe®-winning drama, MR. ROBOT – produced with USA Network’s Senior Creative Director Christina Hedrick. These shorts feature compelling interviews with Emmy®-Winner Rami Malek, Golden Globe winner Christian Slater, and Emmy-nominee and newly minted series regular B.D. Wong, and provide a rare glimpse into the complexities of their respective characters.
Designed to help tease Season 3 of MR. ROBOT, these shorts artfully open a window into the psychological thriller’s compelling storyline and the continued adventures of Malek’s character Elliot Alderson, a young computer engineer by day and vigilante hacker by night.
Ms. Hedrick comments: “Black Spot’s team did an amazing job in pulling all of the pieces together. We always strive to create something different and break the formula – no matter how aggressive the schedule or complicated the logistics.”
Black Spot was tasked with shooting the campaign over three non-consecutive days and in various locations while keeping the style and integrity of the pieces true to the MR. ROBOT aesthetic.
“The lighting created by Evan Jake Cohen was gorgeous – a moody and subtle look in keeping with MR. ROBOT,” Ms. Hedrick added.
The combination of Black Spot and USA’s creative teams have created thoughtful and engaging pieces that will draw fans into the world of MR. ROBOT, giving them a taste of what’s to come in the season ahead.
Black Spot Executive Producer Carla Sacks comments:
“We created a look that integrated well with the MR. ROBOT show footage. The cast members saw that a lot of thought and careful art direction went into every aspect of the shoot.”
