Today commercial production company The Traveling Picture Show Company welcomes Director P.R. Brown for exclusive commercial and branded representation.
Brown joins the growing roster with his artistic and one of a kind cinematic approach. The Grammy and American Country Music nominated director continues to take the helm on projects for major players like Pepsi, BMW, Harley Davison, Google, and Ford for American Idol. Brown’s latest project with Pepsi includes a ‘Hyped for Halftime’ video featuring 80s rock band Foreigner that helped fuel excitement for the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show and brought the filmmaker’s vision to life. Additional work with PepsiCo beverages includes “Check Out,” a hilarious must-see video reaching 3.3 million views and created for Diet Pepsi with elaborate hidden cameras and featuring Josh Duhamel. He drew TPSC Executive Producer, John Noble’s attention instantly. “PR is a man of many talents; he's a bona fide creative Swiss Army knife. Whether it's cinematic storytelling, fashion and beauty, hidden camera, graphic design, or music video; he can do them all extremely well.”

Brown felt right at home with TPSC. “I found out about TPSC through a mutual producer. He told me that we shared the same passion for creativity and that we treated everyone with mutual respect, while creating a fun and rewarding work atmosphere. I was impressed with the work TPSC has done and I immediately clicked with EP, John Noble. Our mutual excitement for how to approach content, made jumping on board a no brainer. I'm excited for where the road goes from here,” says Brown.
With a live-action, design, branding and photography background, Brown brings a fresh approach to TPSC, understanding the creative process of every project. Noble continues, "He’s a great compliment to the TPSC roster, and we couldn’t be more excited.”
Hailing from Minneapolis MN., the now Los Angeles based director began his artistic path at an early age. P.R. traveled the globe, sharing his artistic talents with the music world. At age he 18 began working for Pentagram in London, followed by Frankfurt Balkind in Los Angeles. He continued to gain the vital knowledge necessary to understand what brands need to excel while working at Capitol Records, October Films, and starting his album cover design company Bu-da Design Lab in 95’. To date he has completed over 500 album covers, for bands such as Motley Crue, Smashing Pumpkins, Korn and The Goo Goo Dolls, and filmed over 150 music videos for an array of musicians like Carrie Underwood, John Mayer and Harry Connick, Jr.
"I like to keep things easy-going. Sets should be like family, everyone pulling together to make it happen,” says Brown. “I learned from years on the music side, the diversity of each project, understanding that you too must be a chameleon, relating to each project.” Brown continues, “Having been an art director and photographer prior to directing enables me to pull from that artistic background and apply that to my work. Understanding the marketing of the project, but all the while appreciating the visual look.”
