Philadelphia-based blue Visual Effects (blue) has been hired by the Travel Channel to concept and create a promotional package to showcase the upcoming season of Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern. The package, which includes teasers, promo spots and other graphic elements for both TV and web, takes viewers through a guessing game to figure out where Andrew’s next adventure will be.
Entering its fourth season, Bizarre Foods fans have come to expect host Andrew Zimmern to explore the farthest reaches of the Earth to find the strangest and most unique culinary experiences. “This Travel Channel series takes viewers across the globe to new places, and our job is to help build the excitement and keep it fresh,” states Howard McCabe, Creative Director and CEO of blue. “The promotional package this season will celebrate the program’s global reach, add a new element of suspense and encourage fans to engage deeper with the show.”
This project marks the first time blue has partnered with Travel Channel, yet the 11-year-old design studio has years of experience working with other large cable networks and brands, including Spike TV, The Discovery Channel, Versus and Comcast. Elements from this campaign can be seen on the Travel Channel, travelchannel.com and Discovery Health.
