charlieuniformtango director Jeremy Bartel stars in the spot.
The Texas Rangers once again tapped TM Advertising to tackle this year’s Super Bowl spot. The ad, created in partnership with charlieuniformtango, debuted this Sunday during the big game.
“It’s not easy to stand out during an event like the Super Bowl,” said Lisa Bennett, Chief Creative Officer at TM. “ You’re competing with big budget spots, celebrities, puppies and babies. We wanted to create an unconventional spot for the Rangers’ that taps into the emotional psyche of baseball fans.”
The spot, directed by Lan Freedman of charlieuniformtango, captures the awakening of Rangers baseball fans and the building excitement brought on by the end of football season. Tango director Jeremy Bartel also stars in the spot. “We were so excited to partner with TM on another big game spot for the Rangers, and to have so many of our team involved. We look forward to working with them on Super Bowl spots to come,” added Lola Lott, principal/CEO charlieuniformtango.
“The Super Bowl signals the end of football season and that can be a real bummer for sports fans. This spot reminds them that even though football season is over, they have baseball season – and specifically, Rangers’ season – to look forward to,” said Dan Dougherty, Creative Director at TM.
“The end of football season means that the hibernation of baseball fans is officially over, and there’s no better way to celebrate than with a ticket offer that includes Opening Day free,” said Becky Kimbro, Vice President of Marketing for the Texas Rangers. “We’re thrilled to partner with TM and C.U.T. on this ad.”
The Texas Rangers season opener is Thursday, March 29th at Globe Life Park in Arlington. For more information and a special limited time offer that includes free opening day tickets visit texasrangers.com/baseballtime.
