Diamond View and The New York Giants Tell Every New Yorker’s ‘Giants Story’ in Film Honoring Franchise’s 100th season
Tampa, FL -- (SPW) --
Full-service, Emmy Award-winning creative video agency Diamond View, creative agency CONTINO and the esteemed legacy team The New York Giants tell every New Yorker’s ‘Giants Story’ in a celebratory film honoring the storied franchise’s 100th football season.
Pairing an inspiring narration by actor Chazz Palminteri (A Bronx Tale, Bullets Over Broadway) and a century of archival footage, the film—creative directed by Diamond View’s Will Shanahan and CONTINO’s Jon Contino–spotlights the team’s legacy of players, coaches, and Super Bowl championships, demonstrating how fans have embraced the Giants to unite their families and forging a bond that spans across generations.
Notes Shanahan, “The first line I wrote when we brainstormed ideas for the Launch Video was, ‘Everyone has a Giants’ story’. The line was refined throughout the process, but the sentiment remained. Being around for 100 seasons, the New York Giants have such a deep connection to people in the U.S. and beyond. Their story has so many layers and fans can tell their favorite version. My first NFL game was a Giants game in 1996; it was an honor to partner with them on such a historic campaign and tell their 100th season story.”
Adds CONTINO Chief Creative and Owner Jon Contino, “Connecting 100 seasons of New York Giants football, the New York metropolitan area, all its fans, and the relationship between all of these things was vital to properly communicating the story of the team’s history and identity. We realized that New York is a place where things are built upon one another. Relationships, buildings, organizations…everything has a foundation, but nothing is ever erased. It’s just made bigger and better. To us, this was the perfect metaphor to run with and the basis of our ‘Layers’ concept for the Giants’ incredible 100th Season.”
Diamond View additionally produced the 100th Season Commemorative Uniform launch video for the team, highlighting the early years in New York Giants history and the people who helped shape who they are today. The uniform harkens back to the earliest days of the franchise featuring tan pants; red socks with blue and white stripes from the team’s inaugural 1925 season; red jerseys accented with blue from 1933, when the Giants played in the first-ever NFL Championship Game; and an iconic winged helmet honoring the 1938 champions as the Giants became a cornerstone in the foundation of the league.
Since 2007, Diamond View has been recognized as a leader in story-driven video production and virtual production and is on a mission to use video as a force for good, connecting brands and communities alike.
