An emerging talent in motion design, Mise teams with Creative Director Gregory de Maria in overseeing all of <a href="<a href="www.weareresident.com.>(www.weareresident.com.“>Resident‘s commercial, music video, cinema and online projects.
In Mise, <a href="<a href="www.weareresident.com.>(www.weareresident.com.“>Resident further strengthens its reputation as a truly globally-influenced visual effects boutique. A self-taught animator/designer and a graduate of Nihon University College of Art, Tokyo, Mise comes to <a href="<a href="www.weareresident.com.>(www.weareresident.com.“>Resident from Trollbรคck & Company. While there, his style โ a dynamic and thoughtful blend of rhythm, polish, and meaningfulness โ contributed to rebrands for A&E and ESPN HD, as well as numerous spots and promos for MetLife, Time Warner Cable, The History Channel and Nickelodeon.
“Music has been and is my biggest inspiration — it conveys a lot to me, and when I create, music is the beginning,” Mise says. “I believe that motion design must have beats, and through those beats, there must be breaks. I see designing for broadcast very much like working in any artistic medium: Motion design gives me the opportunity to create art and so to create something beautiful. Even now, as screens become smaller, I aspire for my work to be big and dynamic, with a strong sense of meaning or a bold message.
“I think that <a href="<a href="www.weareresident.com.>(www.weareresident.com.“>Resident‘s aesthetic is often minimal in execution but has maximum appeal,” Mise continues. “Their style is modern and graceful, and a lot of work in their portfolio will still look great even 10 years from now.
