Perry Tongate knows talent. After a decade of representing an award winning post and production company, Perry made the decision to launch his own sales repping company. While showcasing commercial directors’ talent, Perry strikes a harmonious chord with the agencies he serves in Texas and the Southeast.
"I’m excited for the opportunity to represent the talents of Taillight‘s commercial directors. Timothy Kendall, a director that has his finger on the pulse of comedy and effects-heavy action spots. Timothy recently directed the highly praised "Happy Honda Days" campaign starring returning spokesperson, Patrick Warburton. Taillight‘s newest addition, Austin-based Peter Zavadil brings unleashed creativity to his spots and applies it across commercial genres" says Tongate. Peter recently directed the new Krystal spot titled "Shock Therapy", which aired during the Super Bowl. "With 12 years of experience and such a noteworthy reputation, Taillight stands out in Nashville. It’s an absolute delight to work with such a diversified company."
New to the Taillight roster, Austin-based commercial director Peter Zavadil refers to himself as "tirelessly enthusiastic." Peter’s love for all things cinema can be seen in his work and can be heard in his conversations. Peter has a knack for casting and his ability to work with talent, as demonstrated in several of the Krystal commercials he has directed. Taillight has represented Peter for music videos for several years and is very happy to now represent all of his talents.
Director Timothy Kendall is best known for his diverse ability to direct performance-driven comedy. That, coupled with a keen sense of rhythm, pacing and visual style, makes for visual storytelling that captivates and entertains.
"I am very excited to have Perry on board," says Kristen Forrest, Executive Producer for Taillight‘s commercial division. "His experience and relationships in the Southeast and Texas will be a huge asset to our commercial division."
Founded in 2000, Taillight is a full service production company based in Nashville, Tennessee. Taillight develops and produces a wide variety of television programming and events, music videos and television commercials. www.taillight.tv

“Ǝvolution” Comes Full Circle At The Chelsea Film Festival
The Chelsea Film Festival, running from October 16th through October 20th, 2024, at Regal Cinemas here in Union Square, is set to host the East Coast premiere of Ǝvolution, a thought-provoking experimental micro-short film that proves big ideas can come in small packages and in perfect circles.
In just 1 minute 16 seconds, this cinematic gem by Award-Winning Director Romina Schwedler, with original music by Argentine Composer Ignacio Montoya Carlotto, explores a cycle as old as time: life leads to progress, progress leads to destruction, and destruction, well, leads back to life. But is this vicious circle unbreakable? Ǝvolution suggests the answer is yes, unless we decide to open our eyes.
Inspired by the overwhelming number of recent events that threaten human existence, Ǝvolution, possibly the shortest film in this 12th edition of the festival, plays out entirely through the symbolism of circles, cleverly illustrating —in the blink of an eye— the repeating patterns of history, and confronting viewers with the uncomfortable truth that our so-called “progress” may, in fact, be guiding us to our own ruin.Premiering at the Regal 14 Union Square, New York City, on October 18, 2024, at 11 a.m., Romina Schwedler's micro-short, featuring Leah Young with cinematography by Alan J. Carmona, will be sure to spark conversations longer than the film itself! Forcing viewers to reconsider the true meaning of evolution, not just as a biological process, but as a reflection of our collective journey as humans.
With a string of festival appearances across the globe, including CineGlobe at CERN (Switzerland/France), Oscar®... Read More
