Syndrome, a young, vibrant, multi-media design and production studio specializing in live action content, motion graphics and animation for television programs and promos, TV commercials and music videos, has completed work on two new spots.
ABOUT BOOST MOBILE PROJECT:
Syndrome created a two spot campaign promoting Boost Mobile cell phones, entitled “Anthem 2.0.” These new cell phone commercials feature rap superstars Young Jeezy and Jermaine Dupri, and crossover rock star Mickey Avalon. The announcement was made today by Monica Blackburn, Executive Producer.

“Anthem 2.0” is an urban, rap music video/commercial, with multi-platinum artist Young Jeezy, superstar producer and artist Jermaine Dupri, and up and comer Mickey Avalon. The commercials display each artist at different stages of success, while featuring Boost Mobile’s latest pay-as-you-go handset, the Motorola i425. The piece blends live action against a graphic montage of animated imagery, including fast cars, elevators, a helicopter and people standing in line to attend a glittery VIP event. The words sung at the end of the piece are, “It’s out there, I’m gonna get it. Living out my dreams, so you know the boy won’t quit it. Where you at?”
“Syndrome was able to make the lyrics come to life and show their importance through the animation and motion graphics in these commercials,” said Caralene Robinson, Director of Brand Marketing and Entertainment, Boost Mobile.
Added Monica Blackburn, “This project was shot on 35mm against greenscreen. We then imported the keyed footage into custom 3D environments created specifically for each section. We used Maya for 3D, and final 2D compositing was done in After Effects. We really enjoyed working closely with director Chris Robinson to capture the exact camera moves that would facilitate our final vision for the motion graphics seen here.”

ABOUT CIROC VODKA/DIDDY PROJECT:
In addition, the Syndrome directing team of James Larese, Micah Hancock and Mars Sandoval has also collaborated on the kick-off TV commercial for Cîroc Vodka since its acquisition by ‘Diddy,’ who also stars in the spot. Syndrome worked in tandem with Robot Films, the production company for the commercial, which was shot in Miami.
Regarding the new spot, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs said, “Syndrome captured and conveyed the simple elegance of Cîroc Vodka. This new spot looks and feels upscale– like the viewer has been invited into a private party with a lot of class and a lot of style. The rich color scheme, the subdued lighting and the artistic camera direction all add up, making this spot a winner.”

Set to Kanye West’s song ‘Flashing Lights,’ the spot invites the viewer into a special VIP party celebration hosted by Diddy himself, whose voice over says, ‘Cîroc—the Ultimate Premium Vodka.'”
