Sprawling 66K-foot campus, award-winning editors & artists, and seasoned leadership paves the way for packaging of branded and longform projects.
Bicoastal Sinners and Saints, overseen by Managing Director/EP Heather Heller, has partnered with 4-time Emmy®-winning full-service production house Lux Angeles Studios, and is now situated in the former Netflix building at the corner of Hollywood and Las Palmas, with a sprawling 66,000 square-foot world-class and Data Secure TPN Certified post facility boasting full capabilities for production through post. Heller assembled the deal working with LUX Managing Partners/Producers Matthew Macur, Rebecca O’Hara, Jared Safier, Lenny Vitulli, and Thomas Walton, and the head of Lux Angeles’s Short Form Division, Charlie Zwick, to bring the combined vision to life. In addition to Heller, the Sinners and Saints leadership team comprises EP/Partners Yann Henric and Thomas Carroll, and Features EP Aaron Kaufman.
“We are thrilled to establish our base of operations in the iconic former Netflix building, a space that not only offers top-tier post-production capabilities but also cultivates creativity by bringing together a diverse group of talented individuals,” said Heller. “Collaborating with Lux Angeles Studios has already proven beneficial for our clients, as we’ve successfully completed two projects in this inspiring environment. With Sinners and Saints gaining a foothold in features and Lux Angeles expanding into commercials, this partnership creates a perfect dovetail for our two companies. Matthew and Thomas have been incredible partners, and the exceptional services they offer—ranging from offline and online editing to color grading, VFX, sound, and screening capabilities—are a true luxury for our clients. We’re excited to join the ranks of trusted partners like Disney and Lionsgate, who rely on Lux Angeles for their post-production needs, and we look forward to building new partnerships with brands that share our vision for innovation and excellence.”
“Lux Angeles Studios is excited to partner with Sinners and Saints, and adding Heather Heller’s already impressive list of capabilities was an easy and obvious choice,” said Macur, who is Founder and Co-CEO of Lux Angeles Studios. “Sinners and Saints now has in-house, all-in-one production and post capabilities and we are proud and eager to be part of that solution, ensuring a streamlined and effortless process for their clientele.”
Sinners and Saints now divides talent into rostered directors, and feature filmmakers like Francis Lawrence and Lisa Joy, who are available On Assignment. The Sinners and Saints roster comprises directors Jessy Terrero, Adrien Galo, Steve Pink, Julien Rocher, Arnaud Deroudilhe, Ivo Wejgaard, Lado Kvataniya, Remy Cayuela, Jean Claude Thibaut, and Apple Pie Tabletop. In addition to the Lux campus, where a tabletop/AI studio is in development, Sinners has established a mobile tabletop studio in Los Angeles, complementing Apple Pie’s centrally-located full-service studio in New York.
Sinners and Saints had a busy summer: Cahuela helmed a Robitussin/Theraflu assignment on location in Chile, created by Publicis Cast + Grey NYC + Grey Buenos Aires. Thibault directed a project for Huawei, a Sinners and Saints collaboration with Red Horse Film. Apple Pie teamed with Sinners and Saints on a Wienerschnitzel project created by Innocean. Kaufman (with Sean Penn), director of SUPERPOWER, was nominated for a News & Documentary Emmy® as Outstanding Politics and Government Documentary. Pink is currently receiving acclaim for his feature doc, THE LAST REPUBLICAN, chronicling Adam Kinsinger’s final year in Congress.
Sinners and Saints is a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) and the multidisciplinary studio of choice for brands and agencies like Smirnoff, L’Oréal, FCB, GSD&M, McCann, and a host of others. The company is represented by Lisa Gimenez Toliver and Deirdre Rimer on the West Coast and Latin America, Carl Forsberg and Justin Lasoff of Apostle NY on the East Coast, and Helen Gardiner in Europe.
