Offering Includes Loft Studios, Post-production Space, Equipment and Creative Services
ShoulderHill Entertainment announced it is creating a dedicated production hub in NYC with Hudson Yards Loft to expand its production presence in New York.
At Hudson Yard Loft, ShoulderHill will have access to an additional 2 floors of studio loft space and a rooftop with iconic skyline for productions along with office and support space for a total of over 6,000 square feet. ShoulderHill is a production group with divisions dedicated to film, television, production services for commercial and global clients, live broadcasts and visual effects.
Hudson Yards Loft is a fully-equipped Film and Photography Studio run by James Weber. James is a Director of Photography and Photographer himself. As such, he wanted to create an environment where Directors and photographers could come in and use the space to make their projects more unique. With that in mind, he filled the studios with select pieces of mid-century modern furniture that can be used to create sets in shoots that happen there. James has also equipped the studios with the latest digital capture equipment and lighting systems for shooting still or video projects. Located near 36th Street and 10th Avenue in the fashionable Hudson Yards Neighborhood on the edge of Hell's Kitchen, the building was built in 1910 and was originally a Carriage House for horses.
According to James Weber, founder of Hudson Yards Loft, “We are a one stop shop for Film and photo production. With two 2200 sq. ft. loft spaces and a rooftop that has views of The Empire State Building and The New Yorker, this building and it’s Loft Studios are one of a kind. We invite everyone to come by and see us."
ShoulderHill has produced over 100 hours of global television with it’s show 24 Hours of Reality for Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project. Shot on location in over 30 countries and with content in over 40 languages, the shows have been seen in over 180 countries and was condensed into a special for Nat Geo Wild and shown internationally on National Geographic in more than 50 countries.
“We’ve been working with James and Hudson Yards Loft for a while now and this was an obvious next step in our partnership,” says Steven Addair, co-founder and partner of ShoulderHill. “Now we can offer clients all of their production needs under one roof and for the projects ShoulderHill produces, we never have to leave the building, it’s a fantastic opportunity.”
ShoulderHill through its division ShockBox, which specializes in visual effects and motion graphics, has produced work for Lionsgate’s Rob Zombie films 3 From Hell and 31, To Hell and Back (a feature length behind the scenes look at the making of 3 From Hell), HULU’s Veronica Mars, National Geographics’ 24 Hours of Reality: Protect Our Planet, Protect Ourselves, Netflix’s Brainchild, Universal’s Undercover Brother 2, Grand-Daddy Daycare and Bigger Fatter Liar, WWE Entertainment’s Santa’s Little Helper and BET’s series The Quad and Flavor Unit’s November Rule.
