ShootersINC (www.shootersinc.com) recently wrapped production and post on the first-ever national broadcast spots for Rita’s Italian Ice, transforming popular products into characters with distinct personalities.nnOn-air now throughout the next several months, the campaign highlights the Rita’s Italian Ice brand as well as some of its products’ attributes.nnThe memorable campaign began as two main customizable :30 spots “Roadshow Auditions” and “Roadshow”, and was extended to include four :15 spots that feature four main products as the “star” of each. The spots highlight the “personalities” of some of Rita’s most popular items: Buster Custard, the Great Blendini, Mista Misto, Jil Lati, and even Rita herself. nn
nnThe team at Shooters suggested shooting “Roadshow Auditions” in a true studio setting to convey the concept and qualities of each Rita’s offering. The spot introduces actors getting into character, practicing their lines, and interacting with other potential candidates in the studio’s Green Room. “Roadshow”, using green screen and a car rig, continues the Rita’s story as the five characters/products get to know each other on the road and set out to meet the nation.nn”The team at ShootersINC gave us extreme confidence throughout the entire process of developing Rita’s first ever national TV campaign,” says Rita’s Marketing Manager Madalyn Weintraub. “Their creative direction, expertise, and advanced technological capabilities helped us make Rita’s history by bringing our fun vision to life.” nnThe ambitious creative began with high aspirations and very little time to execute. ShootersINC and agency EFK collaborated to ensure that both spots could be shot in a timely fashion with major creative impact. nn”We were scheduled that day to do more than 30 shots with actors and five product shots– two spots,” says ShootersINC EP Production Cris Andrei. “Our director Rob Markopoulos always has a very creative and ambitious agenda and it became a driving force. There was this tremendous positive feeling during the production and everybody threw themselves into it body and soul – the talent, the agency, the client, and the crew.” nn”We couldn’t be more satisfied with Shooters’ professionalism and commitment to successfully representing our brand in their work,” says Weintraub.nnRita’s Italian Ice, a Pennsylvania-based franchise company with 550 stores in 18 states, plans to run the campaign in markets around the country.nnCreditsnDIRECTOR: Rob MarkopoulosnEP PRODUCTION: Cris AndreinOFFLINE/ONLINE EDITOR: Scott MarkowitznCOLOR CORRECTION: Janet FalconnSOUND DESIGN: Mike TaylornGRAPHICS: Matthew BurresnCOMPOSITING: Craig Whitaker, Dave Oberdoester, Kevin FanningnEP POST: Mark ReidenauernASSOCIATE PRODUCER POST: Rebecca LyonsnnShootersINC (www.shootersinc.com) is a full service production and post house that blends talent, technology and client service to provide a superior level of quality and creativity. Goldcrest Post Speeds Delivery of “Severance” Season Two
The New York Times recently wrote that the just-released Season Two of Severance will “blow your mind”—and we couldn’t agree more. Created by Dan Erickson and Ben Stiller, the Apple TV+ drama is smart, spellbinding, distinctly original and packed with surprises. For those who aren’t already devoted fans, the show centers on Mark Scout (Adam Scott), leader of a team at Lumon Industries, whose employees have undergone a “severance” procedure that surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives. Goldcrest Post provided post services for both seasons of the show, including picture editorial support, sound editorial, ADR and sound mixing. Editorial for Season One began in 2020. Due to the restrictions imposed by the pandemic, Goldcrest supplied both onsite production offices and edit suites, and remote editing systems for individual editors, with everything linked to a central server. "Mixing at Goldcrest with our team has been a great experience,” says Stiller. “Bob and Jacob are in sync with our creative process and so good at what they do that the experience is always one where it's about how we can enhance the creative vision, with a baseline of knowing everyone is totally committed to making something as good as it can be." Diana Dekajlo, the show’s co-producer, says that the arrangement worked so well, they chose to continue the hybrid approach for Season Two. “We’re a remote friendly show,” she explains. “Whether we’re at Goldcrest, our studio in the Bronx or at home, our workflow is seamless. I conduct remote daily meetings with my immediate staff, and weekly meetings with editorial and VFX, and we talk to each other as if we were just down the hall. It makes for great staff... Read More
