Tim Damon Directs New Campaign For Indian Motorcycles
Short Film Challenges Riders To “Create Their Own Legend”
LOS ANGELES --(SPW)--
Director Tim Damon was just tapped by Polaris, manufacturers of the new Indian Motorcycle, to show off its latest 2015 Scout model. Experts agree that the Scout is the most affordable ride for what is now becoming the hottest motorcycle brand in the world. The Scout campaign was created for Indian by agency Team One. One of the films by Damon introducing the new Scout Sixty can be seen here.
Integrated Production
Like many of his car campaigns, Damon was selected for this assignment because of his abilities as a director, storyteller and photographer. “We shot over five hours of footage and over 60 images of final art,” says Damon. “There’s a big difference shooting a motorcycle than a car. Motorcycles don’t carry the same visual weight, so using the proper lenses is vital. I loved working with the Indian bikes, I think they’re beautiful. I think what Polaris has done in bringing back the brand is very special. It's been an amazing year, creatively working on lots of different types of projects."
No Stranger To Polaris, Team One
Last year Damon helped Polaris launch the much-lauded 2015 Polaris Slingshot, a street-legal side-by-side reverse trike. In February, Damon directed a spot titled “RC Illusion” for Lexus and Team One that premiered on the Super Bowl. In late October, Damon made history with the same agency by helming a live, eight minute broadcast over YouTube Live, Meerkat and Periscope during halftime of Thursday Night Football. The piece featured host Christopher Allen, blues guitarist Joel Whitley, precision driver Dave MacDonald, and a number of trick plays showcasing the features of the 2016 Lexus LX luxury SUV.
Tim Damon is represented for commercials and digital work through Bandito Brothers in Los Angeles, 310-559-5405 and for still photography through Square Planet Media/Damon Productions.
