Award-winning post production company Sonic Union has launched the next generation of SuperSonic, its free, fully-curated production music collection featuring over 600,000 curated tracks from 17 of the top music libraries. The resource unites inspiration and efficiency for finding music of any genre and style. SuperSonic has also added Kristen Sullivan as Client Service Director to respond to user questions and assist with complimentary sign-up; Music Supervisor Justin Morris leads curation, assisted search, and licensing.
“We initially created this platform as our proprietary dream tool for music search for Sonic Union before opening it up to anyone who might find it as useful as we do,” explains Morris. “We are passionate about music curation and we hope that having a free resource is especially helpful now.”
"Users love how easy SuperSonic is to use. Since searching for music is a big part of their job (and ours), working in one system with one contact across all the libraries becomes this big timesaver before, during, and after,” adds Sullivan.
SuperSonic offers the breadth of Morris’ experience in curation, with its offerings continually honed from top music libraries along with themed and genre-driven playlists which are highlighted on the site. SuperSonic features over a half million songs available for licensing, all handled without any additional fees by the SuperSonic team.
Dan Maloney, editor at Nomad, says, “It’s like the Kayak of music – I can search multiple libraries in a fraction of the time, and the playlists are super helpful. It’s an invaluable resource.”
“Once users find the perfect track, we’ll handle the paperwork,” explains Morris. “We issue sync licenses for all tracks in our curation and deal with the music company directly, letting you focus on the gazillion other things you need to do.”
SuperSonic was expressly designed as a resource for remote collaboration. The team hopes that this newly enhanced user experience and additional client service will help the industry pivot and explore creative options to make their projects stand out sonically.
