Digital Vision, the leading supplier of color grading, finishing, mastering and restoration solutions for the broadcast, film, and commercial industries, has announced that respected technical sales expert Schel Kuehnert has come onboard to manage Digital Vision‘s growing U.S. presence.
Leading the company’s sales efforts in the U.S., Canada and South America, Kuehnert will be working with the management team to define and execute America’s commercial strategies during this important time for Digital Vision. Digital Vision has recently contributed to a number of high caliber successes for clients such as Pixar, Walden Media, FotoKem’s Keep Me Posted and Hydraulx and their feature “Skyline.” Earlier this month, Digital Vision also won the coveted Hollywood Post Alliance Engineering Excellence Award for their pioneering work in High Dynamic Range (HDR) workflows utilizing the OpenEXR format, and is considered one of the most important recent developments in color workflow.
Most recently, Kuehnert was Vice President, Sales and Marketing for high-end visual effects and stereoscopic company ICO VFX. He headed U.S. sales for UK-based software manufacturer The Foundry where he was instrumental in securing site license agreements with companies such as DreamWorks Animation, ILM and CIS. He has held senior roles with leading companies including The Post Group and Wexler Video and began his career as associate manager of sales and marketing for special issues at Variety, the industry’s leading trade magazine.
