Rhythm + Hues Commercial Studios has signed multi-faceted and globally concerned director Robert Maya to the company’s live action roster. A celebrated director-cameraman in the commercial world for his work on brands such as Ford, Budweiser, McDonald’s, GM, Kellogg’s and Pepsi among others, Maya’s talents have also been called upon to help document and promote worldwide humanitarian efforts for The Clinton Global Initiative, Starkey Hearing Foundation, and Physicians For Human Rights.
Whether shooting locally in the states, more remotely on location in Africa or Alaska, or in war torn or naturally devastated areas like the Palestinian West Bank, Uganda, Rwanda or Haiti, Maya has the enviable ability to evoke natural, believable and heartfelt performances from cast actors, celebrities, politicians, real people and even animals on occasion. A technical background in lighting and specialty rigs help to enhance the director’s storytelling prowess even further by allowing him to construct and style his vision while shooting.
“Robert is a naturally gifted cinematographer and amazing storyteller,” says R+H executive producer Paul Babb. “His ability to deliver exceptional film no matter the location or circumstances really sets him apart. Clients appreciate that as much as I do.”
The globetrotting director had this to say about his new LA-based home at Rhythm + Hues, “I’m thrilled to have joined the Rhythm + Hues family,” exclaims Maya. “They do stellar work and are on the cutting edge with innovative technology. I’m looking forward to collaborating and having the support of their amazing visual FX artists and studio. I couldn’t have asked for a better home than R+H.”
