Tattersall Sound and Picture, a SIM Group company, has signed an exclusive contract with veteran Re-Recording Mixer and Sound Supervisor Matthew Chan. Chan brings a deep and diverse resume encompassing features, episodic television and documentaries. His recent credits include the upcoming Lionsgate release Operation Avalanche and director Atom Egoyan’s Remember, which screened at this year’s Venice Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival.

Chan has collaborated with some of Toronto’s top directors including Egoyan, Bruce McDonald and Kari Skogland, as well as many filmmakers from the city’s next wave. He was the mixer on Agnieszka Holland’s 2011 Academy Award-nominated film In Darkness.
Other notable feature credits include Avi Lewis’ This Changes Everything (TIFF 2015), Andrew Cividino’s Sleeping Giant (Cannes/TIFF 2015) and Igor Drjlaca’s The Waiting Room (Locarno/TIFF 2015). His work in television includes The Expanse for Syfy/Alcon Entertainment and Saving Hope for CTV/EOne Entertainment.
Chan spent ten years at Theatre D Digital, Toronto, and served as head of sound from 2008 to 2014. He began his career with Trail Mix Editing, Toronto.
