The Universal Studios Florida Production Group (USFPG) is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the state-of-the-art film and television production studio at the Universal Orlando Resort by dedicating the newly renovated screening theater to the memory of Norman “Norm” Rice, the man responsible for overseeing the construction and managing the production facilities from 1988 to 1998.
”Since 1988, the production facilities have played host to thousands of productions,” states Pamela Tuscany, Vice-President / General Manager of USFPG. “Keeping the sound stages and production facilities in state of the art condition is our priority to make sure we are offering the latest technology to our clients for their production needs. We also wanted to take this opportunity to honor the man who helped develop the production facilities and build the Central Florida film community by dedicating our iconic screening theater in the Producers Building to his memory.”
The remodeled, 38-seat Production Group Theater received all new high-back, rocking seats with cup holders, new flooring, and a new DaLite Cinema Contour Screen with custom high-definition fabric. Some of the new equipment includes an Epson Laser Projector, Surround Sound Cinema Speaker system, Cinema Audio Video Receiver Switching System, and AMX Touch Panel Control System.
The Production Group Theater is available for rent on an hourly, half-day, or daily rate.
