Filming has wrapped on the indie romantic comedy “Galileo” starring Santino Fontana (“Frozen”, “Crazy-Ex Girlfriend”), Dania Ramirez (“Devious Maids”), Makenzie Moss (“Steve Jobs”), and Maria Conchita Alonso (“Predator 2”, “Desperate Housewives”).

Executive Produced and Directed by Jay Silverman (“Girl on the Edge”), “Galileo” was written by Jennifer Goldson, and produced by William Newman, Bethany Cerrona, and Joe Gamache.  Casting was by Nick Anderson.  Production on “Galileo” took place in Taos, New Mexico and Los Angeles, CA.

The storyline behind "Galileo” follows an arrogant heir to a Mexican fast-food franchise that goes ‘cuisine’ hunting for the next culinary big thing. He soon finds himself in a small, dusty New Mexican town, where “foodies” come from all over to salivate over the culinary treats of a local, authentic and feisty female chef.

Silverman said, “I was inspired to tell the story of two very unlikely people whose appetite for each other is ignited by a quirky town, its eccentric residents, and a very special chilé pepper.”

Silverman’s first film was the multi-award winning dramatic feature “Girl on the Edge”, currently airing on Showtime.  The film stars Peter Coyote, Taylor Spreitler, Mackenzie Phillips, Gil Bellows, Rex Lee, Amy Davidson, Amy Price Francis, and features one of the final appearances by the late Elizabeth Peňa.

Previously, Silverman was Executive Producer and Co-Creator of the A&E TV series “The Cleaner” with Benjamin Bratt, as well as an award winning commercial director and still photographer for over 35 years.
