Prime Focus Technologies (PFT), the technology arm of Prime Focus, is pleased to announce that their CLEAR Media ERP solution has been awarded the prestigious AS-11 UK DPP certification from the Advanced Media Workflow Association (AMWA). The certification involves rigorous testing at the DPP Test Lab, which evaluates and confirms the product’s compliance to the AS-11 DPP specification. CLEAR has been awarded this certification as it has the ability to read AS-11 DPP HD files, play the contents of the file to a video and audio monitor, and then transcode the contents to a different format proxy that can be played back using CLEAR Cloud Player.
“DPP/AMWA certification reinforces our commitment to new and existing clients for predictable and streamlined content management workflow based on globally accepted standards and protocols,” said Vimalesh Melwani, Vice President, Product Line Management at Prime Focus Technologies. “We will continue to advance CLEAR’s capabilities with powerful additions that leverage both standards-based and proprietary technology.”
CLEAR is comprised of specialized software modules that automate the entire content supply chain from creation through distribution and promotion, driving significant efficiencies and reducing Total Cost of Operations (TCOP) by up to 30%.
The DPP (Digital Production Partnership) works with the Advanced Media Workflow Association (AMWA) to create a robust process for testing and certification of products. This allows manufacturers the opportunity to put their products through an external assurance check against the DPP’s criteria, and will help content creators identify products that have been independently assessed.
Neil Dunstan, Marketing & Membership Manager at AMWA is quoted as saying, “The AMWA application specifications and certification policy define a set of rules that constrain a specification — giving media companies reassurance that products will interoperate in a best of breed environment, providing further value to AMWA members, end users and vendors.”
PFT’s award winning CLEAR Media ERP Suite has been successfully deployed on the Cloud for over nine years now. CLEAR offers broadcasters, studios, brands, sports, and digital organizations a one-of-a-kind technology that drastically lowers TCOP unlike any other.
