Post-production veteran Matt Breitenbach has joined Post Factory NY, a SIM Group company, as Director of Digital Conform. In his new role, he will oversee the finishing process for feature films. Breitenbach arrives from Deluxe Entertainment Services Group, New York, where he was Senior DI Editor. His credits there included The Wolf of Wall Street, Rosewater, Run All Night, Kill the Messenger and the hit CBS crime drama Blue Bloods.
Breitenbach’s arrival is part of a broader effort by Post Factory to expand its resources for feature films. “Matt brings deep, high level experience to our feature team,” said Post Factory NY Senior Vice President of Operations Kim Spikes. “We expect to benefit greatly from his artistic skills, technical expertise and enthusiasm in servicing our growing number of studio and independent producer clients.”
Breitenbach’s tenure at Deluxe began in 2009. He worked as a telecine assistant, DI/finishing assistant and DI editor before being elevated to Senior DI Editor last year. His background also includes four years as a new media producer and technical operator at Nice Shoes, New York.
In discussing his new role, Breitenbach said that he was excited to join a growing and ambitious team. “Many clients find digital post production to be overly complex,” he said. “We want to simplify the process for them and make it as easy as possible to finish and deliver their projects.”
