Said Mr. Andrade, “For this project, we recreated, using 3D animation, the complex of nuclear power plant buildings that were crippled in Japan after the earthquake and tsunami. We used animations to illustrate the ‘how’ and ‘why’ the reactor began to leak, as well as how radioactivity injures people. The animation also helped depict the evolving ‘day by day’ crisis that was taking place inside and surrounding the Fukushima nuclear reactor after the events of March 11.”
Hosted by Paula Zahn and produced by Scott Weinberger and Scott Sternberg, “Nuclear Nightmare: Japan In Crisis” was a documentary project in which people who worked at the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant in Japan shared their personal stories on camera. Weinberger and his Weinberger Media team were also able to find and interview an American who was at the nuclear plant at the time of the accident, as well as a film crew that was shooting there when the tsunami hit.
