On September 29th in New York City, a cross generational gathering of some of the brightest stars and biggest names in folk music gathered in Town Hall for a one-night only concert performance. Chris Wilcha captured the unforgettable night for the documentary. The doc, inspired by and including music from “Inside Llewyn Davis” which is set in the Greenwich Village folk scene of the early 1960s, was shot live and includes performance by legends and rising stars from both folk and contemporary music including Joan Baez, Patti Smith, Jack White, Marcus Mumford, the Avett Brothers, Rhiannon Giddens, Punch Brothers, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, Willie Watson, The Milk Carton Kids, Colin Meloy, Lake Street Dive, and the star of Inside Llewyn Davis, Oscar Isaac. The star-studded documentary reunites Burnett and the Coens, together the creators of “O Brother, Where Art Thou?”
