Bicoastal Oink Ink Radio, and sister company 38 Greene, have kicked off the year with an array of new projects, staff expansions and growth initiatives. In addition to high profile work for Google, Wieden + Kennedy and ESPN, as well as an upcoming relocation from SoHo to midtown this Spring, the creative shop has brought in sales and marketing director Andrea Rhodes to manage brand development, marketing/promotion planning and client management.
Eager to help the veteran facility break new ground, Rhodes brings a unique background to the mix – – her traditional ad experience with classic brands, combined with her arts and entertainment know-how (she co-founded a theater/film company), provides a diverse perspective in helping the two sister companies gain momentum. “These guys remain a bright light in the industry. They’ve built a beloved, award winning facility…and they’re really nice and funny to work with,” she notes. “With so many facilities shrinking or closing, it’s inspiring to see a creative/post house grow, I’m so pleased to be a part of it,’ she adds.
“These last two years have been very big for Oink Ink,” says Oink president Dan Price. “We’ve doubled our business, and as a result find ourselves (along with brother/partner Jim Price) stretched quite thin in many respects. Things have a way of getting ‘back-burnered’ when work needs to be produced. And so we are thrilled to have Andrea join us. Her background and skill set are a perfect fit to ensure all those balls stay in the air.”
A longtime advertising and marketing director, Rhodes spent the early part of her career at some of the top ad agencies in New York, managing award-winning work at Young & Rubicam, FCB and DMB&B, to name a few. She later segued into the post-production side of the industry, overseeing sales and marketing at such notable leaders as Northern Lights Post and SoundHound. An arts enthusiast, she co-founded an independent theater/film company which now produces contemporary classics and new works in Dutchess County, New York.
