New York Festivals Radio Programming & Promotion Awards announced a series of entry fee specials for the 2009 competition. The April 30th deadline extension allows new entrants to take advantage of promotional discounts on selected categories. New categories for 2009 included in the special promotion are Podcast, Online, and Satellite. Special discounts also apply to the following categories: Radio Programs, Inserts, Promos and ID’s, On-Air Talent, Craft & Technique, in addition to Programming Formats and Student entries.
“The radio industry has spoken and we are responding. It is a tough year financially for people around the world. I do not want the economic situation to deter the competition from receiving the incredible work that is entered every other year,” said Leslie Rasimas, Executive Director.
Entrants will receive a discount in Podcast, Online and Satellite categories when they join NYF’s social media groups. Entrants who join the NYF Streaming Radio Group at LinkedIn, as well as NYF’s Twitter and Facebook groups, will receive the special rates for Podcast, Online, and Satellite categories at $116.00 for a single entry and $132.00 for a series.
First time entrants in the 2009 NYF Radio Programming & Promotion Awards competition will receive a special discount when they enter at least two entries. Entrants who submit one entry and refer a friend, who also submits at least one entry, can take advantage of the April discount.
For the first time last year, the Radio Programming & Promotion Awards included a student competition to offer young talent the opportunity to be recognized and rewarded for their creativity. This year NYF is offering students another opportunity. In an effort to assist students during this year’s economic downturn, a special pricing structure is available for the entire month of April at $50.00 per entry.
For the month of April, New York Festivals Radio Programming & Promotion Awards Special Promotional Entry fees include the following categories:
