Editors Dave Herman, Ed McGowan and David Bruce Bates Jr., have joined <a href="http://now.dit.com “>the now.corporation (aka now.) for spot, music video and long form projects. The editor trio joins a talent roster that includes now. partners Nelson Leonard, Jesse Reisner and Owen Plotkin.
Dave Herman was senior editor at TBWAChiatDay, and was a much in demand editor at Crew Cuts, Jump Editorial, Version 2 and in a freelance capacity. In addition to his editing talent, Herman also writes and directs under the nom de plume Paul Krik (his first feature was 2008’s “Able Danger”). Herman recently cut a package of BMW Olympic spots for Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal + Partners via now. His additional credits include work for BMW, Reebok, Puma, Stella, Degree and Mercedes.
Ed McGowan, fresh off a six-year stint as senior in-house editor at McCann Erickson’s PostOp, got his start at Crew Cuts and later freelanced at various New York editing companies including MacKenzie Cutler and Red Car. While at PostOp he cut spots for Staples, Chex Mix, Sony, Verizon FiOS, Avis & Exxon and Intel.
Multi-talented David Bruce Bates Jr., directs, shoots and edits. Bates’ unique docs include the filmmaker as an active participant. As noted in Interview magazine: “David Bruce Bates, Jr. whose charmingly raw documentary-style shorts and off-the-cuff interviews with the likes of Christian Slater and Robert Wilson got the blogosphere โ and the entertainment industry โ buzzing.” He’s created work for W Magazine, IBM, Capital One, Puma, K*Swiss, Starburst Candy, Jet Blue, MSN, Acura, Gen Art, Digitas. The video blogger/writer/director/actor and editor is represented by now. for editorial as well as web content creation and “Man On The Street” talent.
