Bicoastal Nomad editing company has added to its already diverse roster with the signing of Editor Micah Scarpelli, who will work out of the company’s NYC outpost.
Scarpelli, who is currently at work on a Verizon spot directed by Rory Kelleher of Believe Media, has cut campaigns for Mercedes-Benz, Puma, MTV, the NFL, Smirnoff, Gillette and Subway, among others. His music video work includes the Rosebuds Life Like, a behind the scenes video starring Britney Spears for Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet Tour and Madvillain “Monkey Suite,” which won an MTVU Woodie Award. He also won a gold at the 2005 BDAs for a video presentation piece he cut for Mercedes-Benz.
“We are so pleased Micah has joined us,” said Nomad Executive Producer Celest Gilbert. “He’s a good editor and a genuinely nice person. Those traits, coupled with his enthusiasm to continue to grow Nomad‘s NY office, make him a great fit.”
Scarpelli joins an editorial roster consisting of Jason Painter, Tom Muldoon, John Murray, Glenn Martin, Jared Coller and Tyler Peck.
“Nomad is the company I have been looking for since VERSION2 closed,” noted Scarpelli. “The body of work that has come from this talented group over the years is amazing. I’m thrilled to be a part of growing the NYC office.”
Prior to joining Nomad, the Chicago native cut at V2, Cutting Room, and Fluid. He launched his career by performing live editing visuals that were incorporated into retail settings, art installations and special events.
