Palma Pictures is delighted to welcome aboard Michael Nouri as our incoming Head of Production and Executive Producer for all German speaking territories.
Michael’s responsibilities will include strengthening and forging relationships with all our key clients, crew and suppliers. Activities that we know he will immediately excel at.
A sales and production management professional with over 15 years experience in executive positions in the commercial film industry. Michael spent the past seven years working as European Sales and Executive Producer for Stillking Films, a global production resource company, specializing in high quality production service for commercials and international feature films.

Palma Pictures is one of the world’s leading production service companies. We are based in Spain with offices in Barcelona and Mallorca and cater to a global client base.
The company was founded in 1993 by Ola and Grete Holmgren, a renowned Swedish commercial producer. He was one of the first industry professionals to recognize the filming potential the island had to offer in terms of locations, climate and proximity. Originally operating out of a small office in the heart of Palma’s old town, this entrepreneur’s new venture was christened Palma Pictures.
International
The original team was made up of a mixture of enthusiastic locals and foreign residents and today one of the company’s strengths continues to be its diversity borne from this eclectic mixture of cultures and backgrounds. English and Spanish are spoken by all the crew. Other languages include Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, German, French, Italian, Japanese, Dutch and Finnish.
Today
The company now employs 40 full-time staff and collaborates regularly with a wide selection of local freelancers while maintaining strong relationships with specialized crew from mainland Spain. The 4,500m2 studio complex was commissioned in 1998 in order to provide state-of-the-art facilities for visiting productions and was opened in 2000. Improvements are constantly being made and site expansion plans drawn up.
Palma Pictures has provided service for over 750 commercials and 20 feature films. In 2007, the company began to cater to the world of photo shoots and now boasts a dedicated Photoshoot Division. 2007 also saw Mike Day, Managing Director, Trent Walton, Executive Producer and Ram๏ฟฝn Caravaca, Financial Director, become partners in the company.
Palma Pictures has strong ties with the local government and authorities and in 2003 received three awards for contributions to tourism and the local economy: Placa de Plata from Fomento del Turismo de Mallorca; Emprendador del A๏ฟฝo y Mejor Empresa Innovadora from Ernst & Young / Expansi๏ฟฝn and Popular del A๏ฟฝo from the national radio station Cadena COPE.
