Well-known national production company Twist has welcomed Staff Rep Bettina Warshaw. The announcement was made today by Twist Executive Producer Amyliz Pera, who is based in Manhattan and manages the company’s unique in-house sales team, which also includes Staff Reps Rob Neill and Kathryn Lotis Fisher. The Twist directorial roster currently features the diverse talents of Directors Matt Pittroff, Rich Michell, Grady Cooper, Chris Stocksmith and Marc André Debruyne.
“I have a great sales team with Rob and Kathryn, and I had to be very careful in the selection process to find the right person to add to our tight-knit family,” explains Twist EP Amyliz Pera. “Bettina brings her personal creative interests, and offers a genuine passion and understanding of art and the industry, which fits with the tenor of our company. She’s collaborated with Rob in other capacities already, and can parlay her past experience at New York’s Grind, a shared workspace and social network, which she helped to grow. We’re lucky to have her.”
Bettina Warshaw loves to connect โ people, communities, and collaborators. Born and raised in New York, Bettina attended Emerson College and graduated with a degree in Theater Studies. Most recently, Bettina was the Forward Motion Coordinator at the collaborative platform Grind. In her spare time, she continues to write and perform in her own theatrical work, and is currently working on self-publishing a collection of short stories.
“I am so excited to be a part of Twist,” says Warshaw. “From the first meeting, I could tell that everyone really loves being part of the company. They have a fantastic dynamic and I can’t wait to be right in the middle of it.”
With the addition of Warshaw, Twist reinforces the company’s innovative in-house sales team model. Twist sales team members work for the company as a whole and know the directors and their working style thoroughly, versus the industry’s common independent sales rep model of splitting territory and brokering jobs along with a number of other companies. “It is a unique business model that we use here at Twist for sales,” concludes Pera, who has an intensive background as an entrepreneur before joining Twist. “For us, we depend upon new and different ways of working that adapt to the marketplace so that we not only survive as a company, but thrive within the budget challenges of the new economy.” Twist also focuses on long-term career management for each of its Directors, emphasizing high production value and client service above all. The results are that Twist enjoys an unprecedented repeat business with its ad agency clients and brands nationwide, having long-term relationships.
Twist‘s Matt Pittroff recently shot a fourth round of spots for Ameristar, and new spots for Rite Aid and Colorado Lottery. Director/DP Rich Michell has just finished two projects for Blue Cross/Blue Shield, as well as spots for Mayo Clinic and General Mills. Director Marc André Debruyne, named “Director of the Year” at the 2012 MuchMusic Video Awards, has completed a number of new music videos, as well as shot spot work for Nestle and Coke. Also new from Twist is a Target project, directed by Grady Cooper; as well as continued work from Director Chris Stocksmith for the popular AOL “You’ve Got…” series.
