Vocas Systems, European manufacturer of innovative, professional-calibre camera accessories, will showcase three new matte boxes at NAB 2017. MB-216, MB-256 and MB-436 build on the Vocas tradition for performance and quality, and incorporate new features for increased versatility and ease of use.
Vocas Systems products can be seen at the Manios Digital booth, Central Hall, C9521. NAB 2017 is April 24-27 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The Vocas MB-216 (a successor to the M-215) works with most wide angle lenses in 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios, and is wide enough to accommodate most cameras with a wide angle converter without vignetting. It includes one rotatable 4x4-inch filter tray and space for a fixed 4x4-inch filter in the front of the hood.
The Vocas MB-256 (a successor to the M-255) is designed for use with Zeiss CP.2 lenses and is compatible with lenses with a front-side diameter up to 114mm. It also includes one rotatable 4x4-inch filter tray and space for a fixed 4x4-inch filter in the front of the hood. MB-256 features a patented heavy-duty French flag clamper and patented internal eyebrows for maximum lens flare reduction.
New for Vocas, both matte boxes feature top-bars mounts for increased stability. They also feature a quick-lock mounting system that attaches directly to the front lens barrel of 114mm lenses.
Additionally, the new matte boxes can now be used with the Vocas 15mm Swing-Away Bracket. This handy accessory allows the user to detach the matte box from the lens quickly and without disassembling the entire set up.
The new Vocas MB-436 (a successor to the MB0435) is an affordable 4x5.65-inch matte box compatible with big lenses, and the latest large-sensor and 3D cameras. It is packed with features that protect the camera and enhance creativity. It, too, is now mountable to top bars, and is compatible with the Swing-Away Bracket and other Vocas accessories.
All Vocas matte boxes include a new locking mechanism that makes it easier to adjust locking strength and prevents the clamper from falling out of the locking mechanism.
