Muse VFX, a world-class visual effects and design group has opened its doors in the heart of Hollywood, California. Muse VFX creates advanced visual effects for television, feature films, commercials, special venues and online content. Muse is comprised of a team of talented artists, designers and producers led by Founder, President, Creative Director and Sr. VFX Supervisor John Gross and Founder, Vice-President, and VFX Supervisor Fred Pienkos.
“We offer a 4K ready boutique environment with incredibly talented people and powerful tools” says Gross. “We partner with our clients – from pre-production to delivery – developing and executing solutions that provide the most efficient workflows. But ultimately it’s all about our gifted artists and what they are able to create week after week.”
As a pioneer in the creation of realistic visual effects for television, John was instrumental in the development of the workflow and processes necessary to create high quality visual effects within television’s tight deadlines and budgets while maintaining the highest artistic quality. This philosophy and approach is the foundation upon which Muse VFX is built.
John is the former senior exec and creative director of Eden FX at Point.360, where he oversaw the company’s creation of visual effects. While there, his team created VFX for television and feature films and recently completed extensive visual effects for the iMax feature film Mysteries of the Unseen World and the Space Shuttle Atlantis attraction at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Current Muse television clients include MTV’s Teen Wolf, CBS’s NCIS and Disney’s Dog with a Blog, among others.
Gross concludes, “While it may seem to be a volatile time for the formation of a new VFX studio, we’re excited about the potential for the growth of Ultra HD along with new episodic content providers like Amazon, Netflix and Hulu.”
“As a talent driven studio with next generation workflows, we are looking forward to what is yet to come. A lot of artists long for the experience of the less corporate, yet creatively challenging environment that we have to offer.”
Muse VFX is located at 6464 Sunset Boulevard, Suite 500 Hollywood, California, 90028. The phone number is 323.809.4386
