MTI Film will demonstrate the CORTEX CarryOn, its new all-in-one media management and dailies appliance for use on-set at Cine Gear 2014, Booth S-241. Powered by CORTEX Dailies software, the CarryOn debuted at NAB 2014 and is already in use on the hit A&E series Longmire. (CORTEX CarryOn will also be demonstrated in conjunction with Sony, Booth S-316.)
Compact, lightweight and rugged, the CORTEX CarryOn packs more power and offers greater versatility than its competitors, all at an affordable cost. Capable of processing dailies at resolutions up to 4K from all of the most popular digital cinema cameras (including ARRI, Sony, Canon and RED), the CORTEX CarryOn comes equipped with MTI Film’s industry-leading CORTEX Dailies Enterprise Edition software on an optimized platform. Playback via HD-SDI and HDMI is available at resolutions up to 4K using MTI Film’s High Quality UpRes algorithm. The system features a liquid-cooled Intel i7 processor for ultra-quiet operation, a 12TB SSD RAID, GPU-accelerated rendering and both Thunderbolt 2 and USB3.0 technology for fast transfers.
The CORTEX CarryOn is now available for direct sale to productions, post-production facilities, editorial houses and rental houses. MTI Film has also developed a rental model to easily fit CORTEX into a standard production or DIT budget.
