Creative directors Danny Yoon and Duy Nguyen, and executive producer Mike Pryor have renamed their boutique visual effects and post production company and moved it into new digs in Santa Monica. Formerly known as 1.1 VFX, the company will now operate as Mr. Wolf and work out of new headquarters located within the offices of commercial production company Bully Pictures. The new space includes a bevy of resources for visual effects, compositing, editorial finishing and digital color correction, as well as room for further expansion.
1.1 VFX was founded in 2005 as the finishing arm of Motion Theory and continued on at edit house Cutters. Now in their new space as Mr. Wolf, the company is poised to welcome clients across all media. Mr. Wolf’s credits include the recent feature hit American Hustle as well as television work for From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series and the FXX series Ali G Rezurection. Commercial work includes spots for Toyota, Jaguar, Fiat, Burger King and Pizza Hut.
Mr. Wolf’s new space at Bully Pictures sets the stage for innovative collaboration and a great single source solution for advertising agencies and clients. Bully Pictures’ provides live action production for commercials and digital content, including recent work for such brands as Comcast, Verizon, Nissan, Holiday Inn, Kohl’s and Home Depot. As Bully often produces projects that include visual effects and post production components, it can deliver added value to its clients by teaming with Mr. Wolf. The two companies offer creative symbiosis at a very high talent level.
Danny Yoon is a visual effects artist and graphic designer who has worked at the top of his craft for nearly two decades. His work encompasses visual effects for commercials, feature films and television, main title design and graphics design. His background includes stints at Imaginary Forces, Digital Domain and Motion Theory/Mirada.
Duy Nguyen began his career as a Flame artist at Filmworkers in Chicago. He has also worked as a senior artist at Imaginary Forces, Yu + co, Brand New School, Motion Theory, Ring of Fire and Hydraulx. His credits include ads for Coca Cola, PlayStation 2, Budweiser, Honda, Sony, Nissan and Nintendo, the feature films Day After Tomorrow, Constantine and War of the Worlds, and the television shows Medium, Fear Itself, Cane, Angela’s Eyes, Kill Point and Dexter.
Mike Pryor’s career also spans 20 years and encompasses work for feature films, television and commercials. His background includes producing roles with Cinesite, Sony Pictures Imageworks, Jim Henson’s Creature Shop and Stan Winston Studio.
