Director, writer and visual artist Nick Hooker has joined production company Mighty8.
Nick’s music video for Grace Jones’ ‘Corporate Cannibal‘ from her long awaited album, Hurricane, was included in the Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors Showcase at the 2009 Advertising Festival at Cannes, and had it’s premiere at a sold out performance at London’s Royal Festival Hall as part of The Meltdown Festival.
Nick’s previous work includes animated art pieces and tour visuals for U2’s Vertigo tour, commissioned by longtime U2 collaborator, Catherine Owens. He is co-founder of Artifact, a New York-based design collective. Before moving to New York, he worked in development in London at Fine Line Features, Working Title and Miramax.

Helmed by executive producer Lanette Phillips, the company is only a year old, but already has produced a range of exciting work including an interactive video for The Dead Weather and the first ever music video on-demand program for charity Stand Up 2 Cancer, among others.
Mighty8 is also teamed up with Warp Films in the UK and represents their directors for music videos stateside under the Warp@Mighty8 umbrella. This dynamic collaborative venture has so far led to music videos for Depeche Mode and Kris Allen along with a Superbowl spot for Boost Mobile.
