<a href="www.midnightoilcreative.com.>Midnight Oil Creative (MOC), today announced the hire of Monica Hare as President, Digital, marking the continued expansion of the company’s digital division. She will report to MOC Co-founder and Principal Tom Stillwell.
A veteran executive with over 14 years of experience in developing and launching digital media initiatives, Monica joins MOC from her most recent post at The Walt Disney Company, where she developed marketing strategies and partnerships to extend Disney branded properties across online, mobile and other new media platforms. As Director of Digital Media Strategies and Production, she was tasked to create holistic campaigns for the studio’s branded films through their various distribution windows, and oversee the creative implementation of sites and synergy campaign elements on Disney.com. She also led a large team in the iteration, execution and support of the digital initiatives.
“Monica’s depth of digital experience, including her work on major entertainment franchises and brands, not to mention her accomplishments on the client servicing end is a major plus to MOC,” said Stillwell. “Her reputation, savvy skills and extraordinary experience are impeccable. Our company, and by default our clients, will benefit immediately from Monica’s presence.”
At MOC, Monica will head the digital team, serving as an overall consultant on the direction, strategy and creative for all projects that fall under the digital domain. Additionally, she’ll offer senior level counsel to the company’s growing client base as well as seek new opportunities.
“The partners at MOC run a very impressive business,” said Monica. “They’re not looking to be the biggest agency; they’re being very strategic and scaling in a smart way to benefit existing as well as future clients. Joining the agency is an opportunity to apply my skills by growing a small group into a larger team.”
Prior to Disney, Monica served as Vice President, client services for the Blitz Agency, where she managed accounts, projects and staff, ultimately responsible for over 70 percent of the company’s revenue. Earlier in her career, Monica worked at Microsoft where she managed overall strategy, production and editorial for key channels; at Experience Music Project she spearheaded the production and content of emplive.com; and at ABC Sports she served as lead producer for the launch of Monday Night Football’s first official website.
