Visual effects house, Method Studios, a Deluxe Entertainment Services Group company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Webb as Executive Producer of Method Chicago. Webb will work closely with Creative Director Gil Baron in the continued expansion of the Chicago office, which opened its doors in July 2012.
“Chris’ arrival in Chicago is great news for the team and our clients,” says Christian Kubsch, President of Method Studios. “With Chris at the helm, and thanks to Method’s unique skill set, our Chicago studio will continue to support the creative endeavors of both the commercial and feature markets.”
Over the last 13 years, Webb has worked as an agency producer in both New York and Los Angeles for well regarded advertising agencies such as Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and Cramer-Krasselt.
“Coming from an agency background gives me a valuable perspective and understanding of clients’ needs” notes Webb. “I’ve worked on projects with Method many times and am a great fan of their work. It’s fantastic to join the company and be a part of its ongoing success story.”
Located within the landmark Tribune Tower, Method Studios shares the 22nd floor with sister companies Beast and Company 3. Chicago-based clients have direct access to the group’s award-winning editorial and color grading services and also benefit from Method’s global network of talent, thanks to seamless work-flow between the US, Canada, London and Australia.
Recent commercial projects delivered by Method Chicago include Coors Light “Avalanche” (featured in FX Guide) and Nike “No Angel” (SHOOT ‘Top Spot of the Week’). In terms of film production, prep work is currently underway for a sci-fi feature due for release in 2014.
