M&C Saatchi today announced the hire of James Bray as Creative Director for the Los Angeles office. He will report to M&C Saatchi CEO of North America Huw Griffith. The hire further enforces the agency’s commitment to providing its clients with top creative talent.
James joins M&C Saatchi from San Francisco’s Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, where he was responsible for some of the agency’s most notable recent work, including the “Firsts” campaign for Sprint, as well as the NBA, Netflix, and Adobe.
“James’ award-winning work expands and elevates our agency’s creative profile,” said Griffith. “His style is directly in line with our ‘Brutal Simplicity’ mantra.”
James’ creative accolades include an Emmy nomination, D+AD, CLIO, One Show, and Addy.
Prior to Goodby, James served as copywriter for Fallon, Minneapolis. His work for multiple clients included Holiday Inn, Citibank, BMW and Travelers.
“M&C Saatchi‘s work exemplifies really smart thinking centered around a big idea; an approach that seems to have gone missing from many shops these days,” said Bray. “The agency puts creative first, and they’re passionate about it. That’s why they have an amazing roster of clients and talented people who understand what it takes to get talked about. M&C Saatchi’s size, attitude and agility will give us the ability to surprise a lot of people.”
James began his career at Madison Avenue’s Doyle Dane Bernbach, where he produced work for the NY Lottery, Hershey’s, USS Intrepid Air & Space Museum, and Teen Aids.
